We were practising hiragana (vocals and ka, sa, ta lines), and a partner asked for the numbers. To be honest, I’ve already learnt a lot of Jap basics, but since I’m there to learn, I try to be as open-minded as I can.
Well, this partner asked that, and Shin (one of the Japanese exchange students) was trying to explain to him how to pronounce number four (yon or shi). Poor Shin lacks of Spanish skills xD so I butted in and explained how the sound should be done. And Shin stared at me and screamed “Ohhh you know more than me!” and laughed so heartily~ OMG he’s so cute. He looks just like SHINee’s Key, lol /shot
Then I said I had been watching anime and J-music since 13 years ago, Shin made an absolutely cute face and I was pronounced to be quite “lively”. And “young”. “Just how old are you?”, said the same partner. “Are you 20 or something?”.
I think I got completely red and said… “You’re flattering me, but I’m much older, can you guess how much?” XD In the end he guessed right (25), and I stated what I always state, “I don’t know if I really look younger or if I’m too immature, orz”.
